My Professional Story
I'll try to keep things short, sweet and to the point. For the last seven years I have been working in the hospitality industry, specifically with commercial design and management. After accepting what I thought was going to be a temporary position, I discovered my love for design and a whole new way to tap into my creative side. I have experience overseeing all phases of the hotel design process from start to finish. I have worked with over a dozen different hotel brands in line with some of the largest hotel companies such as Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Choice Hotels International. I also have experience working with boutique hotels such as the Hotel Valley Ho as well as restaurant and retail projects. Majority of my experience involves commercial, however In my previous role, I did gain experience working on residential projects.

Before I entered the hospitality world, I pursued my passion for writing and landed a job at a local TV station as a news producer. I quickly learned to think on my feet, work under immense pressure and roll with the ongoing changes. Despite acquiring some valuable skills working in the news, I ultimately decided after two years it wasn't the industry for me. I am currently pursuing my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with hopes to achieve by June. I’m also actively searching for job opportunities within the hospitality industry whether that be a management, design or sales role.
My Personal Story
I'm currently living life in the southwest but I'm a southern girl at heart. In 2021 I decided it was time to make a big change and I moved across country from Tennessee to Arizona without knowing a soul. I love it here, except when it's summer and 115 degrees outside. When the weather is a tad bit cooler, I love to go bike riding along the Scottsdale canal, rollerblading around Tempe Towne Lake and hiking with my pup around the valley. Speaking of my pup, that's him in the photo to the right enjoying the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. Would you believe me if I told you the Smokey Mountains is the most visited national park in the United States? It's true, look it up!
Some of my favorite past times include watching scary movies, enjoying 90s music, breaking a sweat at Pure Barre, perfecting random recipes I find online, sitting on my balcony catching up with friends and reading thriller/mystery books. Oh and how could I forget to mention my love for the outdoors and traveling. Who doesn't love a great mountain view? Or would you prefer the beach? I'll take both!
